Aftermath.
Open up.
I arrive late at the arena for the first Implosion of 2010, a show that I seem to be the star of. Tonight I am in the main event but, I honestly couldn't care less about it because there is a part of me missing right now and it’s been left over on the Genocide brand with someone who quite frankly got lucky that management was sending me to another brand once Starrcade was over.
That’s neither here nor there and tonight seems to be all about new beginnings. We’ll see what kind of beginnings happen at the end of the night when I am moving on to the second round of the European Championship tournament, which is below me but like always I will walk out and be the man that everyone wants me to be.
I come in the back door of the arena and immediately I am bombarded with questions from some reporter this new guy has apparently hired, she keeps asking so I throw up the stop sign and continue on to my locker room. I turn my head noticing that I have disappointed her this makes me grin a little bit as I continue on to the locker room where I toss my things in and begin making my through the backstage area and I finally make my way the stage area.
The Stage.
‘Sabotage’ by the Beastie Boys hits and the people in the arena come to life as they see my entrance video on the screen. I hear nothing but people cheering as I make my way out onto the stage. I stand there and walk forward a little bit and then turn around to look at my entrance video as it continues to play. That shit is damn impressive, I head back through the curtain and grab a microphone from backstage and make my way back out to the stage and just stand there looking out at all the people and the ring. I make the motion to cut my music and video so I can speak but, as they cut it the crowd gets louder and I can hardly hear myself think. I stand there in the middle of the stage with the people in front of me going in sane. Canada is truly the home of professional wrestling, lets get to the reason I am out here though, I bring the mic up to lips and begin.
The Rocket says: This past Sunday at Starrcade, I walked into Cleveland, Ohio as the North American Champion. I went in and did what I did and Vega, my opponent, also did what he had to do and the end result is what’s standing before all of you today. I am no longer the North American Champion.
The fans begin booing as I continue.
The Rocket says: To tell you the truth, Vega did me a favor by ridding me of that Championship. I was only carrying it around because it symbolized that the holder was only a step away from the one goal that they truly had and that was being in a World Championship match against the World Heavyweight Champion of their brand. So screw that Championship and Vega, you can and your whore can rot in hell with the Maven and that Championship.
The fans cheer again as I continue on.
The Rocket says: And now I am a member of the Implosion roster.
The fans cheer some more for the brand they bought tickets for.
The Rocket says: The Implosion show is SKCW’s newest brand and probably it’s most talented. Would I be correct in assuming that I am the cornerstone of the brand or is that title reserved for someone like the one trick pony known as Wesley Drake?
The fans boo at the mention of Drake’s name.
The Rocket says: Yeah, well look where he’s at and look where I am. Two differences entirely, one is opening the show and the other, which is myself, is closing it out in the opening of the European Championship tournament.
As the fans cheer, I bring my finger up and twirl it around in a who gives a fuck motion.
The Rocket says: I am so incredibly tired of fighting for much less then what I know I can do. You put me and Stanley Ryan Tiger in this ring tonight and you’ll have a brand new International Champion but for some reason the new boss doesn’t seem to see it that way.
I shrug my shoulders as the fans boo.
The Rocket says: So tonight I get to open up the European Championship tournament by closing out the night with Lee J. Tiger. I just have one question about this match.
I take a pause before continuing.
The Rocket says: Who the f#*k is Lee J. Tiger? He’s got to be related to Stanley cause I don’t know anyone else in this company with the last name of Tiger.
The fans laugh like they’ve never laughed before as I stick one hand in my pocket.
The Rocket says: Stanley, you had better watch what I do tonight because when the time comes for the two of us to step in the ring with one another, I can assure you that what I do to Lee J tonight will be nothing compared to what I do to you. I’ve locked in my course and it’s leading me right to you and that International Championship you’ve held since I got to this company. It’s time that someone finally knocked you off your block and I can assure you that I am right person to do just that.
A mixed reaction, it’s clear they like Stanley. I do too but, he’s in possession of something that I want and I am not going to stop hurting people on this brand until I am the International Champion and maybe not even then.
The Rocket says: First, I have to take out Lee J. Tiger and then it’s on to whoever is next and you can be sure that next week I will be in the main event again to deal out more of the stuff I have bottled up inside me that I didn’t get to release on Sunday night. It’s simple, Lee J. Tiger is in my way and just like I have before I will some way to get to where I need to be and if I happen to be European Champion when I get my shot at the International Championship then so be it. The time for playing games with people is long over and that’s what all of you here tonight are going to see. I hope you’re ready Lee because I am not holding anything back. Get ready.
I drop the mic and as my music begins to play again throughout the arena I once again get a mixed reaction from this crowd but, it doesn’t matter. It’s not about making them happy anymore, it’s about making me happy and that’s really all that matters.
End.
